i've read this before but it was in japanese so had to use google translate to understand what it meant... unfortunately, the translation was not that good (sounded baroque) so i wasn't able to understand it much. good thing i saw this in one of the thread discussions today in leeminhoph.com when i visited the site, there is already an english translation, nice!

Everyone, you know what is White Day?
韓国の若者達の間では2月14日のバレンタインデーを始まりに、3月14日はホワイトデー、4月14日はブラックデーと呼ばれています。
Among the younger korean generations, starting from 14 Feb is called Valentine’s Day, 14 Mar is White Day and 14 Apr is Black Day.
ご存知 の通り、元の由来はともかく、バレンタインデーは女性が普段好きな男性にチョコレートをあげながら愛を告白する日、ホワイトデーは逆に男性が女性(普段好 きな女性、もしくはバレンタインデーの時チョコレートをくれた女性)に飴やプレゼントを渡し、気持ちを伝える日となっています。
Put aside the origin. Girls will give chocolates to the guys they like and confess their love to them during Valentine’s Day. White Day is whereby the guys will give present to the lady (the one who he like or who gave him chocolates during Valentine’s Day and he like her) and at the same time reciprocate his feeling.

これは、バレンタイン デーやホワイトデーに告白したけどうまくいかなかった、或いは告白されなかった、また或いは告白できる相手がいない、さらには振られてしまった寂しいシン グルの男女が集まって、お互いを慰めあいながらジャージャー麺（韓国式のチャジャンミョン）を一緒に食べる日なんですよ。
Yup, so don’t u know about Black Day?
This is a day when lonely singles gather to console each other while eating jya-jya noodles(Korea’s Jajangmyeon) together. All because they fail to confess successfully or was not confessed by anyone or didn’t have anyone to confess to on Valentine’s or White Day.
暗い気持ちというのと、ホワイトデーとの対比ということで、ジャージャー麺の色が黒だからブラックデーになったような・・・。
When we say dark feeling, something that strikes a contrast with White Day, Jajangmyeon is black color and that’s why it became Black Day (something like a symbol for Black Day)
実はこの前ダンキンドーナツのCM撮影がありまして、そのときの写真を見たら、僕が応援してくださる皆さんに伝えたい気持ちとぴったり合うものが何枚かありましたので、お見せしようと思いました。
Actually before this, there was a filming for Dunkin’ Donuts. When you see the pictures, it fits perfectly to the mood of what I wanted to tell everyone who supports me. There’s a few pieces of them and I thought of showing it to everyone.
