quarter of a century

twenty-five years and a day ago, a baby girl was born and was named gracie... hahaha :P

waaaahhhhh! i'm already a quarter of a century old... been alive for 25 years... thank you Lord! Ü seems like a very long period of time, but hey! i don't feel that old at all... and i believe i don't look that old either... hahahaha :P

sigh... i've been living on earth for 25 years now but i feel like i still have a lot of things to do... i still have a lot of plans in life... i want my own house... i want my own car... i want my family to have their own car as well... of course, i want to have my own family too... i want to have my own business so i won't need to work for a boss... i want to go to baguio, bohol, cebu, davao and palawan... i want to go to taiwan and south korea... i want to go to USA (as a tourist and not as a worker/student.. haha :P laziness as usual...)... i want to go to London... i want to go to Paris... i also wanna go to australia.. yes, down south baby! in short, i want to travel the world...

the question is WHEN? hopefully soon... wish wish wish Ü
to all my friends who greeted me via text messaging, thanks! to those who sent me messages and comments in friendster, thank you also! and to my friend who called me from singapore, thank you so much for being a little "galante" yesterday.. hehehe
thanks to you all for remembering my day! i'm really overwhelmed! Ü

gone too soon...

never knew that september would also symbolize a sad event for me... not even a week after my promotion was released, this sad news came up...

last september 17, wednesday, my granny finally gave up living... after staying in the hospital for almost 6 days and being diagnosed of having a clot in her head besides her worsening heart condition, and after having a lot of tubes and life support machines connected to her weak body, she finally gave up...

i'm sad of course, but in a way also happy because finally, she'll now be able to rest after living 86 long years on earth. that was indeed very long dude! because from what i know, our generation's life expectancy now is only up to 75 years old. this may even lower in the coming years due to several factors like environmental issues, society and lifestyle, pollution and global warming, synthetic/artificial food products, radiations, etc... i think we'll be lucky to even reach 65.

sigh... all our relatives have arrived today because today's the last wake, tomorrow would be the internment. there are a lot of people going here and there. the house is quite a mess. well i guess this is how it's suppose to look like in times like this.

this is really sad... we'll miss you lola...

Wu Chun Blogged again

I've been browsing Chun's blog for several times now... this was since he visited the Philippines last July. i was really so surprised and impressed of how kind this guy was to his Filipino fans when he was here.. mainly the reason why i became one of his huge fans, literally and figuratively... hahaha... i've read some of his entries and i really loved reading them especially the quotes/lessons he adds on each one. i also love it every time he mentions tagalog/filipino words in his entries, makes me feel he loves his filipino fans a lot! Ü

Their Philippine tour for Romantic Princess made me very eager to know what he'll write in his blog after visiting the Philippines. I checked almost everyday, but i guess a famous star like him would barely have time to post his entries in a regular manner... so, that may be the reason why he was able to publish his posts this month only for august and september.

I got this from his blog entry entitled "Superman is back!" dated 8-08-08. Filipino fans should read this... really a must! Ü

"Phewwww… Finally, Superman got little time tonight to complete his unfinished blog :-)

After Butterfly Lovers wrapped up, I was ready for tons of jobs that were lining up but never did I expect that the heavy workload... workload which I myself, someone who thinks himself as a Superman, finally came to feel tiredness in his life... WOW!!! To me, there are good and bad in every moment of my experiences that's why I've always told myself that I am lucky for all the opportunities and I will always cherish every moment and be responsible not only to myself but to everyone so I wont live a regretful life. No matter how tired I am, there's always happiness when it comes to visiting all the countries I've visited recently and here, I really wanna thank everyone from all parts of the world who has been supporting me all these while…

The Philippines - Visiting Phil has always been my 1st priority! Although I've been to Phil a couple of times already, its always different when it comes to work and I've always loved to meet those who have supported us all these while... anyhow... mission accomplished!!! haha! "Maraming Salamat"!

Korea - Really had a great time during the Romantic Princess Celebration with all my Korean supporters… Well, I can speak better Korean now… haha! Su Go Ha Say So Yo

Japan - Attended my 1st Butterfly Lovers press conference outside China and surprisingly it was Japan!!! I also spent one whole day filming a program for a a Japanese TV channel discovering the life of NINJAS… Another Great experience for me!

HK – I did something crazy this time!

Managed to sneak out late at night after supper with my director around 2.30am! It came to a point where I felt so much like walking along the streets in HK… I walked alone from JORDAN to TSIM SHA TSUI and along the streets where I used to go before my showbiz life. I always walk 4 years ago and although its already 3am and all shops are close, i am still full of energy J Its unbelievable and I dotn know when I can do that again…hahaa!"

the whole article can be viewed here: http://www.wretch.cc/blog/wuchun10cool/9765596 or you can just check out his blog here: http://www.wretch.cc/blog/wuchun10cool. i have his blog listed as well in my links (check my "just a click away" and "blog exchange" tabs) so suit yourself.

well i think the title suits him well... for someone who's a super hunk, a super gorgeous, a super kind, a super brave and a super busy star! so good luck to you SUPERMAN! i wish you more success, blessings, projects and good health always! (^-^)v

customer shock absorber 3

at long last... after waiting and struggling for almost a year... i've reached the 3rd level.. woooohoooo!!! thank you Lord! Ü

there has been several times when i thought of almost giving up and just contenting myself of being a 2nd level agent... i feel like no matter what i do, there will always be one metric required that i'll eventually fail most especially during the last month of the qualifying months i'll be using... there was even a time when i was just 2 seconds short to pass my AHT and when I was just 0.03% short to pass FTR... in filipino, "halos ga-hibla na lang nga, pumalpak pa..." i've been frustrated several times on hitting my target grades... but i often end up crying because i usually fail most especially my AHT.

but i guess there's really a reward for holding on and never giving up despite failing numerous times... and this is it. after crossing my fingers several times, my wish was finally granted... though i had to wait for almost a year, i really feel overwhelmed and i'm really grateful to God because finally, all of my hardwork paid off. last friday, they sent me an email that the promotions have been released... and i was so happy i can't contain it! Ü
...
this just made my beliefs grow stronger... that things really do happen for a reason you'll know in due time and that there is always a perfect time for everything, time according to His will...

p.s. thank you so much! sorry if i had been impatient several times and if i kept asking why i still have not reached my target. i know You gave this to me now because now is the perfect time. You're truly the best! Your will be done always! Ü

UP Pep Squad did it again! Ü

Earlier today, at about 2 pm, the very much anticipated annual UAAP Cheerdance Competition was held at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City. I actually planned watching this but I was not aware that it would be held a week earlier than i thought. so i just contented myself by watching it at studio 23. the coliseum was jam packed! head count was 23,433 paxs. a lot of people going here and there... but all were patient enough to wait till they see all the presentations.

1st in line was the DLSU PEP Squad, followed by the UST Salinggawi Dance troupe, then the UP PEP Squad, FEU, NU, AdU , UE and ADMU. honestly, i expected a lot from the salinggawi dance troupe since they had been perennial winners of this competition. but i was disappointed... i don't know if it's because i expected too much from them or if the presentation was not really that good. UP is so original, as always.. hehe :P i was really amazed by their tribal theme. all the others played contemporary and old school songs except UP who played filipiniana/tribal songs (i'm not sure if this is the right song genre). FEU's and Ateneo's cheerdances are also good. i actually thought Ateneo had a good chance to climb up to the top 3, but surprisingly they weren't able to snatch a place.. i really wonder why..

and the results: 2nd runner up goes to FEU, 1st runner up goes to UST and the champion for 2 years in a row are the UP PEP Squad Cheerdancers! Ü (yah... this is just like the result last year...) personally, i think FEU's better than UST from what i saw... no offense meant tigers..

woooohoooo! Ü this is yet another reason to celebrate my fellow ISKOs and ISKAs. and just in time for the UP Centennial year and hosting of the 2008 UAAP. (though we're not able to bag awards in basketball, at least we're champions in cheering! Ü)

i was really really happy! but i think i would have had more fun if i was right there chanting "U-nibersidad ng Pilipinas.. U-nibersidad ng Pilipinas.. matatapang, matatalino. walang takot kahit kanino. hinding-hindi magpapahuli. ganyan kaming mga taga-UP!" i really miss those times! Ü

the power of holding hands

- anonymous -

i was sitting on a beach one summer day, watching 2 kids, a boy and a girl, playing in the sand.
they were hard at work building a sandcastle by the water’s edge, with gates and towers and
moats and internal passages. just when they had nearly finished their project,
a big wave came
along and knocked it off, reducing it to a heap of wet sand.
i expected the children to burst into
tears, devastated by what had happened to all their
hard work. but they surprised me.
instead, they ran up the shore away from the water,
laughing and holding hands,
and sat down to build another castle.
i realized that they had taught me an important lesson… all the things in our lives,
all the complicated structures we spend
so much time and energy creating, are built on sand.
only our relationships to other people endure.
sooner or later the wave will come along and knock down what we have worked so hard to build up.
when that happens, only the person who has somebody’s hand to hold will be able to laugh..

the men of my dreams

twenty-five days to go and i'm turning twenty-five... yes, twenty-five and still single... i don't actually know why. i know for a fact that i'm chubby, but i don't think that's the reason because i see other girls who are a lot bigger than me but they all have boyfriends. well, is it too much to ask for a guy who's tall, has fair/light complexion, has chinky (tsinito) eyes, smells good and who's rich?! hahaha :P maybe my friends are right... they said i'm asking for too much... in other words, i'm setting very high standards that they sometimes wonder if such a guy exists... well i think he does exist... i've met one before.. hihi but we're just friends, unfortunately... sigh...

but i also heard one of my friends say, that we shouldn't be looking for that special SOMEONE... because that special SOMEONE will just come along, at the right place and at the right time... hopefully... so for the mean time, i'll just feast my eyes on the following guys who swept me off my feet several times.. haha

here's my top 10 dream guys:

10. Aga Muhlach - he's my filipino version of tom cruise. i think he's already in his 40's but his face looks just as young as he was 10 or 20 years ago.

9. Tom Cruise - though he's a lot older than me and he has also grown a lot older by now, i believe he's one of the most gorgeous faces i've seen in hollywood.

8. Nick Carter - yes, the youngest member of the boyband, Backstreet Boys... one of my obsessions before.. haha growing in the boyband era, how would i not fall for him?

7. Wu Chun - who doesn't know him? he's been here in the philippines just recently and a lot's been crazy over him... i'm one of them... haha because besides having a beautiful face and a beautiful soul, he's also a hunk... a super hunk!

6. Lee Junki / Lee Jihoon - i can't split them, i think they rank equally. Lee Junki is Nicko of the tagalized version of the KDrama My Girl while Lee Jihoon is Henry of the tagalized Wonderful Life.

.....
Lee Jun Ki.....................................................................Lee Ji Hoon

5. Vic Zhou - undoubtedly, he's the most gorgeous face i've seen in all the taiwanese and korean dramas i've watched... yes, he's a little cuter than joe... just a little cuter.. haha

4. Chris Evans - the HUMAN TORCH in fantastic 4. he looks so gorgeous and so super hunk...

3. Sam Milby - despite all the issues and intrigues he's facing (most especially the gender issues), i really don't care! i like him and that's it! he's body is so nice (macho). he's also very talented (figure-skating, dancing, singing, in playing the guitar, composing songs, etc.). he's definitely more than just a pretty face... he just can't speak tagalog that well until now... but who cares? he can understand tagalog and i can speak english so there won't be a problem.. haha :P

2. Dingdong Dantes - FREDO of Dyesebel, SERGIO of Marimar, AQUANO of Atlantika, YBRAHIM of Encantadia, ADRIAN of Twin Hearts, CARLOS MIGUEL of Sana ay Ikaw na Nga, BRIX of AnaKareNina and IÑAKI a.k.a. JR Wacqs of TGIS... yes, i've been watching him since he appeared in tgis in 1995. i've seen him grow from being a teenage trasher haired heart throb to becoming a little chubby but handsome actor in his early 20's and now, in his late 20's, being nominated as one of the 25 sexiest men in the world by E! entertainment. he's been really a hunk lately... i was almost drooling when i saw his pictures in the bench blackout fashion show...

......

1. Joe Cheng - obviously, as can be seen in this blog, i've been so head over heels crazy over him. i don't think there's a need to elaborate... :P

now tell me, are my standards really that high?! hehe v(^-^)v

let the BER months begin...

today, september 1, marks the first day of the BER months... well, i'm not anymore suprised of how time flys so fast nowadays. why? because i've been shocked since the month of JUNE arrived. i have realized since then and i've been feeling like i've been watching a fastforwarded version of my own life with everything happening so fast around me.

the past new year's eve felt like just 2 months ago... and now we're nearing christmas again... waaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! and of course, a week after christmas would be new year again. like what i've said earlier, i'm no longer suprised of this fast track life but i'm still not used to it.

i feel like SEPTEMBER arrived so early this year. besides being an indicator of the fast approaching christmas and new year, this month symbolizes a lot more events for me. first, this is my birth month... yeah... i'll be a year older this month. second, i know a lot who are also celebrating their birthday this month, so we'll all be a year older... hehehe third, our program is nearing the peak again. we'll be ramping up and training several trainees for the coming winter peak... which also indidcates that by the last week of december or early january, the program will be ramping down just like the usual annual ramp down... this kind of makes me sad because after being able to stay after 3 ramp downs, i have a strong feeling that i can no longer avoid it this time. so i have been preparing myself and have been thinking of what to do and/or where to transfer in case. fourth, after september comes october, my hire month. october 17, 2008 is my 3rd anniversary in etel as an employee. dude, that was real fast!

today, it's 115 days before christmas. yes, a hundred days is still a lot.. but thinking of how fast days pass lately, i dunno... i think this will not take long. we may wake up one day and it's already just a week before christmas eve... who knows... or maybe, it has already passed...
